What we’ll be eating

We’ll be well fed from canapes to the feasting banquet and evening sourdough pizza, all cooked as you watch in the outdoor wood-fired kitchen.

For the feasting banquet, we’ll be tucking into award-winning grass-fed hogget, raised on the farm using regenerative farming methods. Vegetarians will enjoy ember-baked butternut squash and mushroom wellington. A vegan alternative is also available. Most ingredients come from a range of local and organic producers.

We’ll also be providing drinks upon arrival, for reception, for toasting and for the banquet. Additional drinks are available at the bar to purchase.

Accommodation

Lower House Farm is a rural location and we strongly recommend that you book accommodation well in advance. There are no reliable on-demand taxi services coming from Abergavenny, Hay or Hereford, however we have a local transport company working with us to ensure everyone gets home at the end of the night. If you’ve booked to stay somewhere locally, let us know so we can arrange the minibus route. There is a car park available at Lower House Farm for those who are driving.

Lower House Farm have kindly put together a guide to local accommodation , but you can also find options on Airbnb, or glamping options on Canopy & Stars, or there’s a Premier Inn in Abergavenny.

There is also a spare room going at this farmhouse in Craswell (13mins drive) for £159pp for 2 nights (Fri-Sun). You can choose either a double bed (would suit a single person or couple) or a room with 2 singles and a bunk (would suit friends or a family). Drop us a message if you’d like to take it!

What to wear

Wear what makes you feel joyful, fabulous, and ready to dance the night away!

Since our celebration takes place on both grass and gravel, we recommend choosing comfortable footwear — leaving stilettos at home is best. Some of the day will be spent outside, so bring layers in case it’s chilly, or fan/parasol/hat if the sun’s shining.

We also encourage you to add a little extra sparkle to your look for the evening festivities. Don’t shy away from feather boas, bright colours or sequin accents, let’s have fun!

Many of you are travelling long distances to celebrate with us, and your presence is enough of a present to us. However, if you'd still like to contribute a gift, we've put together a list of experiences and items that will help us start this next chapter together… from honeymoon adventures to a few things for our home.

Join us in celebrating
our special day!
